ACTIVE MEMBER REQUIREMENTS

In order to be considered an Active member with SME Student Chapter 079 and receive a Cord upon graduation, the following requirements must be met:

The Point System:

  1. Must be a paid member up to the semester of graduation

  2. Must complete at least 4 hours of volunteering with SME

  3. Must attend at least 4 SME general meetings

  4. Must attend at least 2 SME socials/events

  5. Must attend at least 1 professional development workshop

OR

  1. Must be a paid member up to the semester of graduation

  2. Bring in a speaker or sponsorship from a company

In order to apply for a Stole and Cord for graduation, the requirements above must be met and one of the below requirements must be met:

  1. Be an officer for SME

OR

  1. Get 2 new paid members for SME

  2. Wear the SME shirt to at least 4 SME events

  3. Tag us on our social media at an SME event at least 4 times
